Say hello (and Happy Birthday!) to aspiring event planner, Alison von Bredow Class of 2016. A Communication Studies major and social media guru, Alison is one of our interns in the Office of Alumni Relations and Career Services.
When Alison arrived at Longwood as a freshman, she was “very shy and kept to herself”, but due to the unlimited opportunities and organizations available to students on campus, Alison quickly became involved and found her voice and confidence.
Currently, Alison is a graduate of Joan of Arc Leadership Program, a member of Student Educators for Active Leadership (S.E.A.L.), the Public Relations chair for Longwood Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), a member of Alpha Beta Psi sorority, and the Out of the Darkness Walk Co-Chair for Lambda Pi Eta Communication Studies Honor Society.
As an aspiring event planner, Alison enjoys planning and being coordinating her campus organizations’ events and hopes to use this skills after graduation. Weddings, galas, conferences, fundraising events – Alison does it all!
