The live auction was the highlight of the evening during the third Longwood Athletics Benefit Celebration on Oct. 17. Among the items that created a stir were a golf package and stay at The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, a week at a Hilton Head condo and the opportunity to co-host ESPN’s sports talk radio show Hardly Workin’.
More than 350 people turned out at The Omni Richmond Hotel for an evening of food, drinks, dancing and the live and silent auctions. For the second straight year, the fundraiser generated more than $65,000 for the Department of Athletics and student-athlete scholarship support.
