Ashley Jarrett Crute ’10 is the new associate director of career services.
Crute had been an assistant director in George Mason University’s school of business since June 2012. Her first assistantship at Old Dominion University, where she earned a master’s degree in education (higher education concentration) in 2012, was in career services.
“I fell in love with career services in graduate school, and my passion has continued to grow,” said Crute, who began her Longwood position Jan. 25. “I love watching students and alumni actively engage with employers to highlight their skills and abilities, helping them get one step closer to their future career.
“I am excited to come back to Longwood, where I hope to connect with employers and alumni right away to build lifelong career connections for our students. It really does feel like coming home.”
Crute will be “the lead on events and programs in University Career Services,” said Ryan Catherwood, assistant vice president for alumni and career services.
Crute is married to Patrick Crute ’10.
