A Moving Museum

Thanks so much for the article by Dr. Larissa Fergeson in the spring issue. I was lucky enough to be part of a Fulbright alumni group on a visit to the Moton Museum (thanks to Dr. Steven Isaac for arranging that!) in Farmville. I would like to encourage every person who visits Farmville to make time for this museum—it is unbelievably educational and moving. I’ll bet not a handful of Virginians outside of the brave people involved have any inkling of what happened there in 1951. This museum is a very important part of our history and not something anyone wanted to tell in my days at Longwood.
